Couple Therapy
It's normal and expected for all relationships to have their ups and downs. Sometimes, getting help from a therapist who can view things from the outside can help get couples out of stalemates or patterns of relating to each other that cause pain, conflict, disconnection, and withdrawal. In couple therapy, we will work on identifying and loosening old and unhelpful patterns so that you can communicate (and listen) more effectively, work through conflicts without escalating into heated arguments, find more experiences of connection and pleasure, and find a new balance that serves you better.
I have done training on and mainly use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Developmental Couple Therapy for Complex Trauma (DCTCT) when working with couples. I may also use other couple therapy methods if appropriate. I welcome couples of all genders and sexual orientations, as well as people in non-traditional relationships.
